The work
Every move is a travel trailer going to someone who needs a place to live: a family whose house was damaged, a household placed through an insurance ALE program, or a crew housed on a job site. You hitch the trailer, tow it to the address on the job, and hand it off with photos through the dispatch app.
Loads go up on the dispatch board. You see the jobs near you and claim the ones that fit your schedule and your truck.
This is 1099 independent contractor work, paid per move rather than by the hour. After onboarding, with your W-9 and direct deposit set up, each completed move is paid on the next cycle.
CDL and equipment
A CDL is not required to apply. The application asks where you stand: no CDL, for towing under 10,001 lb only; a Class B or Class A CDL; or no CDL yet but willing to pursue one.
Your truck should be able to pull 7,000 to 10,000 lb. If it cannot, say you are willing to use ours. A smartphone runs dispatch, GPS, and the photo handoffs.
